This Texas Troubadour has been performing for over 30 years as a solo artist, as well as in various bands as lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist and lead singer, across the United States & Europe. Brought up during the classic 60′s era on Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and the like, with blues giants like Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, R L Burnside & Mississippi Fred McDowell all on his doorstep, it is easy to see where his influences lie.
Semora has graced the same stages as Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayall and ZZ Top, covering a wide genre of music. He has played with punk/new wave band Stiff Kitty, industrial metal band Four Bolt Main, funk/hip hop band Fuzzy Logik, and lead guitar for country vixen Andra Townsend amongst other great artists.
This Texan defies boundaries. He found from an early age he had a natural ability for being a tunesmith. His recording studios: Criminal Records in Houston, TX (music so good it should be illegal!), Dead Aim Records in Austin, TX and Fly on the Wall in Wichita, Kansas provided the perfect platform for honing his skills and prowess as both producer and artist. In more recent years he has found himself settling comfortably into the solo singer/songwriter genre which affords him the opportunity to return to his Americana roots incorporating acoustic blues, country rock, folk rock and rockabilly among several other influences.
Melodic, finger picking tunes with gutsy rhythm and raspy vocals that emphasis his native Texas roots whilst providing a glimpse into his American Indian and Celtic heritage. Add harmonica, slide, foot tambourine & old suitcase with kick pedal, and the “One Man Texas Band” is born, providing the perfect platform to showcase the essence of this musician’s soul which is felt every time he performs.
