Slap Dash Trio could easily be described as a hidden gem in Cornwall's music scene. The band could be looked upon as three guys just having a bit of fun. But seeing them play in such intimate venues, as they often do, you realise that these three guys have incredible talent. Their 2 hour long set at The Vault in Penzance included songs that some much more well known bands wouldn't dare attempt to cover - including the Electric Light Orchestra's 'Mr Bluesky' and Paul McCartney's 'Band on the Run'.

The bands energy and talent was apparent throughout the evening as they captivated the impressively large friday night audience with a 2-part set consisting of 28 totally different cover songs. The bands ability to go from playing a Sting track to a Billy Idol anthem, for example, and keep the audience dancing and singing along is no mean feat! Slap Dash Trio's unique style can only be described as ingenious! They made each and every song their own. You can tell just by listening to the band that their music is so well thought out and they maintained a perfectly polished sound throughout the night.
